MBBS full form in medical is Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. The MBBS course duration is 5.5 years. MBBS course is a professional UG degree in Medical Science which helps aspirants who wish to fulfil their dream of becoming a doctor.
NTA has recently relaxed MBBS eligibility criteria. Now, to enrol for MBBS, candidates must make sure to have passed Class 12 in the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics subjects and be over 17 years of age. The average MBBS course fees range between INR 25,000 to INR 1.15 Crore. The MBBS course admission is based only on the NEET UG exam. The NEET Exam, set to take place on May 5, 2024.
The MBBS course curriculum spans nine semesters, followed by a compulsory six-month internship period. After obtaining the MBBS course with NEET UG, candidates will be qualified as medical practitioners or doctors. Applicants have the opportunity to pursue careers as physicians in both private and public hospitals, and military services, and establish their independent clinics. The average salary that a graduate of an MBBS course can earn ranges between INR 2.5 LPA and INR 15 LPA.
